Manteno Oktoberfest Begins Today, Ends On Sunday

Owen LaMore, son of Jake LaMore, enjoying the motorcycle ride from Manteno Oktoberfest 2021.

The beloved Manteno Oktoberfest returns to downtown Manteno today and runs through this Sunday, September 25th, 2022! Last year, we saw big changes to the festival with the addition of several stages throughout the downtown area, providing a variety of free live music for everyone to enjoy. Another thing I thought was a great idea was the elimination of the beer tent. You now have the freedom to walk around the grounds with your adult beverage as long as you have a 21+ wristband. Speaking of wristbands, unlimited carnival ride wristbands are still a thing! As a parent of a five year old, I’m thankful the Oktoberfest committee has kept that tradition alive.

I’m also excited to tell you that Denny Case and myself will be doing a radio remote broadcast for The Valley 92.7 FM, River Country 101.7 FM, and WFAV 95.1 FM on Saturday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the Primal Cut Stage on Main Street. We will have our spin-n-win wheel there plus a grand prize to giveaway that’s worth over $500! In addition to that, you can find my girlfriend, Lizzie and I, at the Kankakee Podcast booth set up on Main Street on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We will have podcast merchandise for sale and more!

Thank you to Sarah Marion, the Manteno Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Manteno, sponsors, and all the hardworking volunteers for making this festival happen. I’m really excited to see you at Manteno Oktoberfest!

Much Love,

Jake LaMore
